Dairy-Free Whipped Cream Recipe:

How to Make Coconut Whipped Cream

This coconut whipped cream recipe is made with full-fat coconut milk. When purchasing the items for this recipe, be sure that you buy the full-fat natural canned version, not the beverage version. The fat in the coconut milk is what gives this dairy-free whipped cream its light and fluffy texture.

Not only is this dairy-free whipped cream delicious, but it’s also nutritious too! Did you know that:

  • Coconut contains a very high concentration of Medium Chain Fatty Acids (MCFAs). This is great news because the human body has a difficult time storing these bad boys as fat and is able to absorb and utilize MCFAs effectively and efficiently as an energy source.
  • The MCFAs found in coconut oil aid in weight loss due to their ability to accelerate the body’s metabolism. Where do I sign up? Yes, please!
  • Because MCFAs are easy on the digestive tract and they supply the body with a natural energy boost.
  • Coconut oil has been shown to stimulate the thyroid, which helps to alleviate thyroid-related symptoms including the inability to lose weight.
  • Coconut oil is heart-healthy as it helps to inhibit the development of blood clots.
  • The anti-fungal, anti-bacterial, and anti-viral properties of coconut oil make it ideal to use as a digestive supplement since it helps to ward off unwelcome guests such as Candida and parasites.
  • Coconut oil boosts your immunity.

Clearly, coconut packs a big nutritional punch, which is all the more reason to whip up a batch of this yummy dairy-free whipped cream! This dairy-free whipped cream recipe is especially good on top of my Gluten-Free Pumpkin Pie!

How to Make Coconut Whipped Cream:

The Best Brands of Coconut Milk

Want to know how to make coconut whipped cream? When it comes to whipping up a batch of this dairy-free goodness, you must remember that all brands of coconut milk are not created equal. I’ve tested this recipe with several brands, and the only one that worked for me is the Natural Value Brand. Other brands that I tried turned out runny or clumpy–and nobody wants that! Please let me know in the comments if you find another brand that works. I’d love to hear from you!
